Earlier this week, Southtowns Pilates opened along Main Street in East Aurora. The business will feature both group and private classes.
The new center is operated by East Aurora resident Brynn Patterson. It is located at 411 Main St., across from the Middle School, within the Wholeness Found building. The first classes started on March 2.
Patterson said she will offer group Pilates equipment classes, as well as private Pilates and CoreAlign sessions. Group classes will have up to five clients. The CoreAlign seeks to train the core stability muscles for functional and everyday activities and in high-level sports performance.
She is a doctor of physical therapy and has 15 years of experience in the field. She said her goal is to make sure clients get the most from their sessions with a focus on proper form and alignment to prevent injury.
She said she opened the space as she is “passionate about helping people move better in their bodies to improve their daily lives.”
