Balance & Movement Class

Balance Class at Sana Physical Therapy

​​Our Balance & Movement Class is taught by a Doctor of Physical Therapy and is specifically designed for older adults and individuals experiencing functional decline due to various health conditions. This supportive environment focuses on enhancing balance, coordination, and overall stability, promoting greater independence in daily activities.

 

Class Objectives:

  • Improve Balance: Through targeted exercises, participants will strengthen core muscles and enhance their ability to maintain stability.

  • Increase Coordination: Activities are tailored to improve hand-eye coordination and overall motor skills.

  • Boost Confidence: Participants will gain confidence in their physical abilities, reducing the fear of falls.

  • Enhance Functional Mobility: Exercises will focus on real-life movements to support better mobility and functional independence.

 

Each class will include:

  • A gentle warm-up to prepare the body

  • Balance and strength exercises, modified for all ability levels

  • Coordination drills to enhance functional movement

  • Cool-down and stretching to promote flexibility and relaxation

 

Who Should Attend: This class is ideal for older adults and individuals with conditions such as arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, or those recovering from injury. No prior experience is necessary, and all fitness levels are welcome.
