What is Buff Bones®?

Buff Bones® is a medically-endorsed exercise method with a comprehensive approach to bone and joint health that develops multiple skills, whatever your starting level. The program is build around four key foundational pillars: mobility, strength, balance & coordination. As we get older, taking care of our bones, joints and muscles becomes even more important. That is why regular weight-bearing exercise and a bone-healthy diet are instrumental to your health. We can also lower our risk of fractures by reducing falls through better strength, posture, and
balance — and that is exactly what the Buff Bones® system is designed to do.
We do not want you to feel alone with a diagnosis of osteopenia/osteoporosis. Together we learn effective movement strategies. We use spine-safe and joint-friendly techniques for lifting, bending, and getting up and down from the floor so you can age confidently.

  • Restore Class: Begin by reconnecting with your body and developing the core movement skills that support strength, coordination, and balance. You will learn the basics and explore safe movement patterns.
    This gentle, accessible class focuses on spine-safe exercises to enhance posture, breath work to improve core stability, and smooth, flowing movements to ease joint stiffness. Ideal for those new to Buff Bones®.

  • Build & Amplify
    This class is rooted with the foundational skills learned in the Restore class. It continues to focus on strength, mobility, coordination and balance. You’ll develop greater strength and resilience while maintaining focus on safe bone movements. Heavier weights and gentle impact exercises are introduced to strengthen bones and muscles, while building confidence to lift with ease.
    Ideal for those who have taken Restore and spoken with the instructor.

 

Taught by Erin Meehan, a licensed Buff Bones Instructor and Balanced Body Comprehensive Pilates Instructor, one of only a handful licensed Buff Bones instructors in the state of New York.

Erin is also available to teach private Buff Bones sessions, tailored specifically to the client's body and needs.
